Nadja Maraite receives the JCI Staines Memorial Award 2019

It’s a pleasure and honour to present you our newest JCI Staines Memorial Award laureate Nadja Maraite. And there is a lot to mention, so forgive me the brevity…

Senator #77379 Nadja is a neurologist by profession and her hobbies are orchestra and traveling.

She joined JCI in 2011 as member of JCI Namur and became local president shortly afterwards. You may know her as regional president of JCI BWB, COC director of les Assises or international trainer.

Nadja participated to the German Academy, the European Academy and Japan Academy as incoming president for JCI Belgium. She supported JCI as international appointee for the 100years celebrations and President-elect Pascal Dike as his personal assistant.

She also contributed to the EU Know How Transfer and several UN Global Partnership Summits where she defended the human rights for all.

Thanks to her presence at 8 Congresses and a dozen Area Conferences Nadja has built a great international network which she uses for guiding our fellow Belgian members around the globe.

She often is invited as guest speaker in Africa where she deploys her professional skills. Nadja is currently the well respected Vice President assigned to the Americas (USA, Canada, Suriname, Haiti and Colombia). According to personal messages from the local members over there, she manages to touch many hearts with her German/French styled Spanish.

Special recognition goes to national president Pepijn Palmans and his board for their excellent choice and preparing many kind words confirming Nadja’s true commitment, dedication and integrity.

We would also like to express our gratitude to JCI London president Drew Cornies for his heart-warming testimonial and the #Skyhigh team of JCI Haspengouw with COC director Liesbeth Lemmens for making it all happen. As always we could count on Kris Sierens for preparing the beautiful film.

And last but not least: thank you Paul Lammers for sharing the light with us.

#WeWillNeverForgetWelcome Nadja!
