PRACTICAL INFORMATION JCI Staines Memorial – London – June 17-18, 2012.

This is the programme for the participants at the 40th Staines Memorial

Sunday June 17

Free to visit London from your arrival time till 5pm:

Very close to meeting point :

  • Damien Hirst exposition in Tate Modern
  • Design museum
  • Tower Bridge walkway (fantastic view on London) or Tower Bridge Engine rooms

Other : visit the Olympic sites (not very near to the city centre)

Transfer to meeting point

  • Tube (metro) : Tower Hill (Circle/District line) – (nice)walk along Tower Castle and across Tower Bridge to Butler’s Wharf (on left side immediately after the bridge)
  • Tube (metro) : London Bridge (Jubilee/Northern line) – (nice)walk along Tames river to Butler’s Wharf (walk under Tower Bridge)

5.00pm    Welcome reception by JCI London

Monday June 18

7.30am       Breakfast in hotel

8.00am      Walk (10 minutes) to Waterloo station

8.37am       Train London Waterloo to Staines (South West trains)

Bus at our disposal for all group transfers during Monday (starting at Staines Train Station)

10.00am     Prayers and dedications in the Trident ‘Papa India’ Memorial Garden
Moormead Sports Ground off of Waters Drive, Staines, Surrey

11.00am      Memorial Service at St Mary’s Church
Church Street, Staines, Surrey

12.30pm      Lunch in “The Bells” traditional pub

02.00pm     Visit Heathrow Airport (by bus) + British Airways Training Centre

04.30pm      Bus transfer to Heathrow check-in and Staines Train Station

05.00pm      Trip back home

Smart casual for whole program

Luggage

Travel light. On Monday morning you will have to take your bag with you to Staines.  Please use a small and practical suitcase!
In case of rain, bring your umbrella.

Fee

Participation fee for all Belgian members of € 95 (Staines Foundation will partially cover additional costs). Fee includes: reception, dinner Sunday, lunch Monday, transfer from Sunday evening program to hotel by tube, train London-Staines, transfer in Staines area (to prayers, memorial service, lunch, afternoon visit).

Not included : trip (plane/train), hotel + breakfast, dinner Monday, transfer from and to plane/train, drinks.
